Review
WordFind is a very comprehensive word puzzle solver that allows you to solve word lists, anagrams and palindromes in a snap. The program enables you to perform searches using different types of wildcards which represent unknown or missing letters. You can also specify the words length (from 1 to 15 letters) as well as the sort order (alphabetic, from short to long or vice versa). The results can be saved to your computer or printed out. The program comes with two predefined lexicons but you can add as many as you want. Also, if you want to know the meaning of any word, the program takes you directly to a dictionary or any website you prefer.
It features a simple but unattractive user interface that includes the ability to select the color of the background, main text, results box, group text, among others. You can play in wide screen, use a timer, and set the program to record the events in a log file. It also includes a few hotkeys to easily select the different word types and some exclusion and inclusion options. If you are a fan of word puzzles, WordFind can be a good ally. |
